With the advent of the winter heating season, the demand for biomass-fired steam boilers for heating has gradually increased. However, when we use it, if the fuel moisture is too high and the heating value in the boiler is too low, it will seriously affect the normal combustion, causing a series of problems such as furnace deflagration, excessive carbon content, and reduced boiler efficiency.
At present, most biomass steam boilers cannot adapt to the fuel entering the furnace with moisture greater than 60%. Biomass steam boilers have different water content due to different fuels. Excessive water content and low water content will affect the combustion efficiency of biomass steam boilers. Therefore, the water content must be reasonably controlled for different fuels.
At present, the biomass fluidized bed boilers in operation in China generally have high water content in the biomass fuels entering the furnace, especially straw and bark. The current entering the furnace moisture is between 30% and 50%. After high-moisture fuel enters the furnace, The ignition is delayed correspondingly, the fluidization speed in the furnace is high, and the effective residence time of the fuel in the furnace is short, which causes the combustion efficiency to decrease, the fuel calorific value is low, and the fuel consumption is greater.
The high temperature in the upper part of the furnace caused by the ignition delay causes the superheated steam to overheat, and the temperature of the superheater tube wall is too high, which brings safety hazards; the bed temperature control in the dense phase zone of the boiler becomes difficult, and the low-load stable combustion level of the boiler decreases; As the amount of flue gas produced by combustion increases, the temperature of exhaust flue gas increases, which increases the exhaust flue gas loss of the boiler and reduces the efficiency of the boiler. Therefore, in order to achieve good benefits, we must try our best to control the moisture content of the fuel entering the furnace within a reasonable range.
First, control the moisture content of the purchased fuel and prevent artificial water addition.
Second, the biomass fluidized bed boiler should build sufficient rain-proof material storage. Control the moisture content of the fuel into the furnace at the source.
